Certificate authority (CA)
Türkçe: Sertifika otoritesi (CA)
An organisation trusted by browsers and operating systems that verifies and digitally signs certificates.
// EXPLANATION
Browsers ship with trusted root certificates; a site certificate chains to such a root through an intermediate authority. If a CA is compromised, every certificate it signed becomes suspect.
