Contact resistance
Türkçe: Kontak direnci
The extra resistance at the point where two conductive surfaces meet, caused by surface roughness and oxidation.
// EXPLANATION
In loose, dirty or partially seated connectors the contact resistance rises; I²R heating there creates a local hot spot. Heat raises the resistance further, and the process can feed itself all the way to a melted connector.
