Electrical resistance
Türkçe: Elektriksel direnç
The opposition a material offers to current flow; by Ohm's law R = V / I, measured in ohms.
// EXPLANATION
Resistance depends on a conductor's resistivity, length and cross-section. Current through a resistance produces P = I²R of heat, so even small resistance increases at connection points can cause dangerous heating at large currents.

Contact resistanceThe extra resistance at the point where two conductive surfaces meet, caused by surface roughness and oxidation.
Joule heatingThe conversion of electrical energy into heat, P = I²·R, as current flows through a conductor.
ImpedanceThe total opposition to alternating current; a combination of resistance and reactance, measured in ohms.
