TDP (thermal design power)
Türkçe: TDP (termal tasarım gücü)
A value in watts showing the heat a chip produces under typical loads, i.e. the power the cooling system must be able to dissipate.
// EXPLANATION
TDP is not exactly the electrical power a chip draws and is not defined identically across manufacturers. Short-term peak powers (boost) can exceed it.

// RELATED TERMS
Thermal throttlingThe automatic lowering of frequency and power when a chip overheats, to prevent damage.
Liquid coolingA cooling method that carries heat away from processors with a liquid (cold plates or immersion), which moves heat far better than air.
Vapor chamberA thin cooling plate in which an internal fluid evaporates at the hot spot and condenses in cooler regions, spreading heat across a wide surface.
